The full flow

How it works

Wadaag mirrors how savings circles already operate — it just gives the group one shared, reliable record of every commitment.

  1. 1

    Create a circle

Name the circle and set the basics: contribution amount, currency, frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly), member limit, and start date. The circle stays in "forming" until everyone is in.

  2. 2

    Set the rules

Write down what your group already agrees on: due dates, late policy, what happens in an emergency, and how the payout order is decided. Wadaag keeps these visible to every member so nothing lives only in someone's memory.

  3. 3

    Invite members

Invite by phone number, shareable link, invite code, or QR code. Members accept the invitation, and the admin approves each person before the circle starts. Only approved members ever see the circle.

  4. 4

Set the schedule and payout order

Wadaag generates the round schedule from your frequency and member count. The payout order — who receives the pot in each round — is visible to everyone before the first contribution is due.

  5. 5

Members pay each other, then mark as sent

When a contribution is due, the member pays the round's recipient directly — cash, bank transfer, Zelle, Venmo, mobile money, whatever the circle uses — and then marks the contribution as sent in Wadaag, optionally with a note.

  6. 6

    Recipient confirms received

The recipient confirms the money arrived, and the record settles. If something is off, the recipient or admin can reject with a reason, open a dispute, or an admin can waive a contribution for hardship — always with a written reason.

  7. 7

    Everyone reads the same ledger

Every action lands in an append-only shared ledger: sent, confirmed, rejected, waived, disputed. Any member can review the full history at any time, and export it for the group's own records.

Money moves outside Wadaag

Wadaag does not process or hold group funds. There is no wallet to top up, no account to deposit into, and no balance sitting inside the app. Contributions move directly between members — by cash, bank transfer, Zelle, Venmo, or mobile money — exactly as your circle already does today. Wadaag records what members report: who marked a contribution sent, who confirmed it received, and what was waived or disputed.

That also means a record in Wadaag does not prove bank settlement. It is the group's shared bookkeeping — clear, timestamped, and visible to all — not a payment receipt from a financial institution.
