Trust, made visible
Savings circles run on trust between people. Wadaag's job is narrower: make the record trustworthy and keep everything else out of the way.
No custody of money
Wadaag does not process or hold group funds. There is no Wadaag wallet, no stored balance, and no mechanism for money to move through our systems at all. Contributions travel directly between members — cash, bank transfer, Zelle, Venmo, mobile money — through channels the circle chooses for itself.
Because we never touch the money, we cannot lose it, freeze it, or charge fees on it. The $0.99/month membership pays for software, and that is the only money Wadaag ever receives — billed by Apple or Google, not by us.
Honest records, honestly described
A record in Wadaag does not prove bank settlement. It is the group's shared bookkeeping: a member marked a contribution as sent, a recipient confirmed receiving it, an admin waived another with a reason. These records are entered by people in your circle, and Wadaag does not verify them against any bank.
What Wadaag guarantees is that the record itself is trustworthy: entries are append-only, exceptions require written reasons, and every member of the circle sees the same history. Disagreements become visible early, while they are still easy to resolve.
Private circles, enforced in the database
Circles are visible only to their members. There is no public directory of circles, no search across users, and no way to browse other groups. This is not just an interface choice: access is enforced at the database level with row-level security, so every query is checked against membership before any data is returned.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use your data for advertising. Profile photos are stored privately and shared only within your circles.
Data handling
We collect what a circle needs to function: your account details, circle membership and roles, contribution records, ledger entries, disputes, and circle chat. Traffic is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to what each member is authorized to see.
If you delete your account, your profile and authentication record are removed. Contribution and ledger records tied to a shared circle may be retained for the integrity of that group's history and to meet legal or accounting obligations — the other members' records should not vanish because one person left.
Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account at any time. Requests are processed within 30 days. Full instructions are on the delete account page, and our privacy policy describes exactly what we collect and why.
