This Privacy Policy explains how Wadaag ("Wadaag," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile apps and website (the "Service"). Wadaag is a group savings-circle tracking tool (ayuuto, hagbad, susu, ROSCA, tanda, chama). We do not hold, move, or process money. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

Account & profile: your name, email address, phone number (optional), preferred language, and an optional profile photo.
Circle activity: circles you create or join, your membership and role, contribution records you or your admin enter, payout order, ledger entries, disputes, and in-circle chat messages.
Subscription: your Wadaag Membership status and entitlements, synced from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Billing is handled entirely by the stores; we never receive or store your card details.
Device & technical: push-notification device tokens, app version, and basic log data needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use your information

To create and run your savings circles; to show members the information needed for a circle to function; to send transactional notifications (invitations, reminders, circle updates) by in-app message, email, or SMS; to verify your membership entitlement; to provide support; and to keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.

Who can see your information (per-circle privacy)

Wadaag is designed so that each circle is private. Your name, profile photo, and circle activity are visible only to members of the circles you belong to. People who are not in your circle cannot see your circle, its members, or its activity, and cannot browse or search for other users. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Service providers

We share limited data with vendors who help us run the Service, only as needed: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage); Apple App Store and Google Play (subscription billing and entitlement verification, via RevenueCat); Resend (email delivery) and Telnyx (SMS delivery) for invitations and notifications; and push-notification services for mobile alerts. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Money

Members pay one another directly, outside the app; Wadaag records those payments only as user-entered notes and does not process, hold, or guarantee any funds. Wadaag does not use payment processors for group funds because group funds never pass through Wadaag. The only purchase in Wadaag is the Wadaag Membership subscription, billed by Apple or Google under their own terms.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile and authentication record are removed; however, contribution and ledger records tied to a shared circle may be retained for the integrity of that group and to meet legal or accounting obligations. We remove or anonymize data when it is no longer needed.

Your rights & choices

You can view and update your profile in the app at any time, control notifications in your device settings, and request access to or deletion of your account by emailing support@wadaag.app. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

Security

Access to your data is enforced at the database level (row-level security), profile photos are stored privately and shared only with your circle members, and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to what each user is authorized to see.

Children

Wadaag is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by notice in the app.
